SanDisk Unveiled the 64GB Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I Card at Gitex

Oct. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Dubai – SanDisk Corporation , a global leader in flash memory storage solutions, unveiled the 64GB SanDisk Extreme® Pro™ SDXC™ UHS-I Card as part of a comprehensive new suite of retail products.

SanDisk doubled the performance and capacity of its professional-grade imaging lineup to create a new SD card based on the latest SD 3.0 specification's Ultra High Speed (UHS) bus architecture. The card offers the fastest write performance of any SD card in the world to date and is ideal for imaging enthusiasts using UHS-enabled cam-eras.

In its sixth year of participation at GITEX 2011, SanDisk will be present through a dedi-cated booth and retail partners in the region. Consumer and photography enthusiasts can also look forward to a new and transformational digital experience and exciting promotions from SanDisk. “We are very excited with the opportunities opening up for SanDisk with the growth of professional photography. The card's up to 90 megabyte per second (MB/sec)4 write speeds let photographers capture a series of RAW images using burst mode, and its UHS Speed Class 1 rating can record Full HD videos5. The card features up to 95MB/sec read speeds capable of supporting transfer of photos to a computer in half the time. SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC™ and SDXC™ UHS-I cards come in 8GB to 64GB capacities and will soon be available in the region.
