Frost & Sullivan’s Growth, Innovation & Leadership 2011 Asia Pacific Congress emphasizes on Meg

This year’s annual gathering focused largely on how CEOs and their management teams can further uncover growth opportunities by anticipating and responding to the various industry transformations referred to as ‘Mega Trends’ emerging around us.
 
Oct. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Singapore, 13 October 2011 – Frost & Sullivan’s flagship community of visionaries, innovators and leaders, GIL Global, held its 2011 Asia Pacific congress on 13 October 2011 at the Resort World in Sentosa, Singapore. This year’s annual gathering focused largely on how CEOs and their management teams can further uncover growth opportunities by anticipating and responding to the various industry transformations referred to as ‘Mega Trends’ emerging around us.

Mr. Aroop Zutshi, Global President & Managing Partner of Frost & Sullivan presented his keynote address on Will You Be a Victim or a Victor of the Future Economy: Role of Visionary Innovation. Mr. Zutshi spoke on why innovation is critical to success, where innovation comes from, how to become a visionary innovator and the next steps for individuals and companies to survive and thrive in the future business environment.

Following this, Mr. Manoj Menon, Partner & Managing Director for Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific expanded on the Top 10 Global Mega Trends and Their Impact on Business, Cultures and Society. In his presentation, Mr. Menon suggested some of the key areas to watch would include an increase in Urbanisation, e-Mobility, Innovating to Zero, New Business Models, and Connected Devices; trends that will influence and shape the world in the coming years.

“Identifying such trends signifies the start of contemporary business management. Our main objective is to help CEOs better understand the evolution of these global trends, it’s opportunities and threats, so they can better anticipate and respond in the world’s rapidly changing environment,” says Mr. Menon.

This year’s congress also featured an interactive panel discussion on The State of Innovation: Does innovation really matters to your business? Moderated by Mr. Andrew Milroy, Frost & Sullivan’s Asia Pacific Vice President of ICT Practice, industry luminaries Mr. Andrew Chong, Infineon Technologies’ Asia Pacific Regional President & Managing Director, Mr. Virender Aggarwal, HCL Technologies’ President, and Mr. Aroop Zutshi, Frost & Sullivan’s Global President & Managing Partner, discussed the foundation of nurturing a sustainable culture of innovation and growth for the future.

Later in the day, concurrent career tracks titled Corporate Strategy, Marketing, and Innovation/R&D were conducted where delegates networked with cross-industry executives who share functional responsibilities, to benchmark, validate strategy, and share best practices, pitfalls and successes in growth championship.

This was followed by dedicated tracks in the industries of Automotive & Transportation, Healthcare, Energy & Power Systems, Environment & Building Technologies, and Information & Communication Technologies. These concurrent business tracks explored the impact of urban mobility, the changing healthcare business model, the development of clean technologies, and the rise of cloud computing.
