2012 Silverado Arrives at Chevrolet Dealer in Wisconsin

Because most Wisconsin Chevrolet Silverado drivers will use their truck as a work-house, the 2012 model delivers on towing and hauling.

Oct. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- The Chevy Silverado is back for 2012 at Wisconsin Chevrolet dealers.  Coming off of an immensely popular model year for 2011, the new Silverado remains largely the same but adds a few enhancements and features that Wisconsin Chevrolet shoppers are sure to appreciate.

One of the biggest attractions for Wisconsin Chevrolet shoppers who like to stay connected on the road will be the available WiFi package. Powered by Autonet Mobile, the system provides a wireless Internet connection for laptops or smartphones within a 150-foot radius of the Silverado. In addition, owners can track the vehicle’s location, or receive alerts when it deviates from a pre-set route. There also is a content filter to prevent the Silverado’s occupants from watching inappropriate websites.

For work sites, Chevy WiFi offers instant access to online ordering sites, municipal sites with building permits and building code information and more. For families on the go, passengers can connect with friends on social media sites, stream videos, find maps, check weather or search for fishing and camping sites.

New front-end designs, available heated/cooled seats (LTZ models) and a special White Diamond Edition enhance appearance and comfort, and a new navigation radio delivers on connectivity. It offers an updated screen and integrated hard drive that eliminates the need for discs with map data. Silverado also offers segment-exclusive OnStar and SiriusXM satellite radio, as well as Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Wisconsin Chevrolet shoppers can now choose from four new exterior colors: Silver Ice Metallic, Mocha Steel Metallic, Carbon Flash Metallic, and Graystone.  Two new interior color combinations are available: Dark Titanium/Light Titanium and Dark Cashmere/Light Cashmere.

Because most Wisconsin Chevrolet Silverado drivers will use their truck as a work-house, the 2012 model delivers on towing and hauling. A lineup of powerful small-block V-8 engines and six-speed automatic transmissions complement the strong chassis by enabling a maximum payload capacity of 1,937 pounds on the 2WD crew cab.  When equipped with the available Max Trailering Package and the 6.2L V8, the Silverado 1500 can tow up to 10,700 pounds.
