XJ350 Workover rig solids control system

Workover ig is another oil rig for oil and gas drilling. We usually divide them by the rig horse power. So, during the work over project, the solids control system will have same function as common solids control system for oil drilling rig

I. Mud tanks design

XJ350 can work over oil well upto 3600m. Generally, we will use it drill to 3000m. According to this feature, the solids control sytem will be similar with ZJ30 rig mud system.

There will be 3 tanks. Each mud tank sized 11x2.3x2.2m. Even capacity is about  250bbl. all tanks including compartments. Tank one will be separated into trip tank, sahker compartment, degasser compartment.

Tank 2 including desander room, desilter room, storage tank and one chemical barrel if requested by user. Tank 3 is combined with mixing compartment and suction pit.


II. Solids control equipment detail

We'll introduce this section according to solids control process

Firstly lets see shale shaker. We set 2 linear motion shale shaker treating 600GPM drilling fluid. The G force will be 7.0G and adopts top vibrator-Ital Vibras. Shaker screen is made of S.S304 and mesh size, conductance conforms to API RP13C. The clamping system is quick installation and uninstallation the polyurethane wedges

Then we come to the vacuum degasser. Actually, for this XJ350 work over rig the ZCQ240 will be ok. This model degasser holding capacity 1056GPM. The vacuum pressure is about -0.03~0.045Mpa. Its efficiency is over 95%. Main motor is 15KW, while vacuum pump motor is 2.2kw. It's compact and light. Only about 1100kg

Thirdly, the hydrocyclone separator. The Desander and Desilter. Accordingly, they should have capacity about 1056GPM. If we adopts mud cleaner then, there won't be separated desander or desilter. In fact, separated hydrocyclone separators are more economical than mud cleaner.

The desander having two 12" cones, while CNQ Desilter will have dozen 4" hydrocyclones. These separators are designed with bottom shaker. Furthermore, the desilter can be designed with s.s ball valve to control treating capacity flexibly

Another mud process equipment is the jet mixing unit. Or we call it mud mixing pump/venturi hopper pump. This pump will be mounted on 3# tank. As per former design, the pump will complete with 7.5kw motor. The flow rate is about 158GPM.

Others are the mud agitators, jet mud gun, etc. assistant mud equipments. Moreover we have to configure the whole electic system, control cabinet, pipelines. Valves, clean gates, ladder, walkway, guardrail, etc.
