Oct. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Every so often there comes a new talent with all the ingredients to go to that next level – well ladies, gentlemen and others, we present to you, Zay Foggs,
That’s right Z-a-y, a 2008 graduate of North Central High School (also the Indianapolis alma mater of Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds).
A young man with a voice, a look and a natural knack for entertainment.
His blazing hot debut single “Slow Song” features special guest contributions from Midnight Star’s Bo Watson, and super musician Reggie Griffin.
This ultra sensual slow jam, was produced by Uncle Jamz and The LaBeaud Boys.
Zay Foggs will be doing dates in the USA to promote this single and his forthcoming debut album,
FROM MY HEART & SOUL.
The guitar majesty provided by Griffin, sends this tune into a zone of its own. He has played with such luminaries as: The Isley Brothers, Chaka Khan, Babyface, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton, Toni Braxton, Boyz II Men to name a few and was the leader of the Seventies funk band Manchild that hailed from Indianapolis. After leaving Manchild, Griffin also had a charting hit in the Eighties called “Mirda Rock” (by Reggie Griffin and Technofunk).
Bo Watson, has been one of the lead singers in Midnight Star since the group’s inception in the early Eighties. He is the voice on “Midas Touch”, “Wet My Whistle” and one of the most endearing ballads of all-time “Slow Jam” (from Midnight Star’s multi-platinum NO PARKING ON THE DANCE FLOOR album). In addition to playing keyboards on “Slow Song”, he lends his voice to a climatic raise near the song’s end that will give you goose bumps. In addition to being in Midnight Star, Watson has worked with Babyface, Toni Braxton, The Whispers, Bobby Brown, The Deele, Shanice and many more as a songwriter, session player and producer.
The producer credentials aren’t shabby either; Sid ‘Uncle Jamz’ Johnson has been a part of Grammy winning Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together”, as well as co-writing “Slow Jam”, The Deele’s “Two Occasions”, as well as tunes for Usher, Monica, Plies and more. He has many gold and platinum plaques from the RIAA as well as BMI awards and BILLBOARD awards. The LaBeaud Boys, Gee and Jim, have worked with The O’Jays, Diane Warren, the late Gerald Levert and many more. Gee is now a member of The Rude Boys. The LaBeaud Boys achieved a platinum album for their work on Gerald’s GROOVE ON album for writing and singing on the track “Same Time, Same Place”.
With the Grammy, gold, platinum and chart success of the producers, writers and session players, Zay Fogg is off to a great start with his first-ever solo single “Slow Song”.   (http://www.hotstepzmagazine.com/Joomla/index.php?option=c... MORE
