Did Rachel Uchitel Finally Found Her Love?

Oct. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Her secret Vegas marriage to boyfriend Matt Hahn over the weekend had a lot of people asking, “Did Rachel Uchitel finally found her love?”  

It is public knowledge that she has had relationships with several high-profile celebrities – Tiger Woods was undoubtedly the most prominent – that could have ended better.  In her very public journey on how to find love and eventually finding a soulmate, she challenged a conservative and private man’s notion of how women should carry themselves.  Her previous track record had the media wondering if this marriage will last.

It is not clear when they started dating or when they got engaged, but sources say Uchitel and Hahn, a Penn State football player turned San Francisco businessman and 10 years her junior, have been living together for nearly a year before they exchanged vows in the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on October 1 in front of 12 friends.  They obtained a marriage license Sunday night and filed it with the court in Clark County, Nevada, the next morning.

She reportedly said in a statement, “We are really happy and feel extremely fortunate to have one another.”

Uchitel’s journey in finding a soulmate apparently ends on a happy note, although her previous quest to answer “how can I find love” was not exactly fairy tale.

This is Uchitel’s second marriage.  She was first married in 2004 to childhood friend Steven Ehrenkranz.  Their marriage lasted for four months.  Her first engagement was with investment banker James Andrew O’Grady who died in the September 11 attacks.

People around them will certainly always have something to say.  Regardless, everyone – including those who have had previous unsuccessful bids at how to find love – deserves second chances, especially when those chances allow them to answer “how do I find true love.”  Uchitel will always be associated with well-publicized issues on relationships and fidelity, so her husband needs to look past her history to take her for what she is.  Finding a soulmate entails work.  They both have to acknowledge the fact that they need to establish trust to transcend challenges that will test their commitment to each other, something that does not only happen to them, but to everyone – high-profile or not.

The process of how to find love is often made easier with being clear with qualities that both partners can comfortably live with.  In the case of Uchitel, Hahn was willing to start with a clean slate and disregard whatever “deal breakers” she was known for in the past.  Apparently, Hahn is willing to accept Uchitel for whoever she is (or is not).  

It is yet too early to tell.  One Cincinnati counselor said "I believe trust will be a huge issue in this union.”  On Hahn, Uchitel may have already succeeded to “catch him and keep him,” but will he really be for keeps?

Uchitel, who first came to American attention via a New York Post front-page picture (of her crying in search of her fiancé amidst the rubble of World Trade Center), has sparked extensive media coverage because of her past liaisons with David Boreanaz, Stephen Dorff, and Ryan Seacrest.  Certainly, the media will keep their eyes peeled to Uchitel’s new journey on how to find love.
