High ticket sales lead to extra reading at Dylan Thomas Centre

Oct. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Due to an extraordinary demand for tickets, an extra reading by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy has been organised at Swansea's Dylan Thomas Centre.

The National Poet of Wales Gillian Clarke will join her at the event.

The original performance is set to take place at 7.30pm on Friday 9 December and sold out in a matter of days. Therefore an extra reading has been organised on the same day at 4.30pm.

Jo Furber, Literature Officer at the Dylan Thomas Centre said “After their popular reading at the centre last December we thought that tickets would be in high demand for this event.

“But after selling out very quickly the phone hasn’t stopped ringing with people still trying to snap up tickets.

“Carol Ann and Gillian were then kind enough to agree to a second reading at 4.30pm on the same day.

“Hopefully this will allow people who didn’t get tickets the first time around to try their luck again”.
