Marilyn Wilkie Appointed Interim Senior Vice President for Advancement and External Affairs

New Rochelle, NY (September 2011) Marilyn Wilkie, former Acting Vice President for Advancement and External Affairs, has been appointed Interim Senior Vice President for Advancement and External Affairs for Iona College. Prior to these positions, Ms. Wilkie has demonstrated increased responsibility and a proven track record for the College’s overall fundraising initiatives.  A lifelong resident of New Rochelle, Ms. Wilkie began her Iona career in 1999 and has held the following positions in Advancement:  Regional Representative, Major Gifts Officer, Senior Major Gifts Officer, and Assistant VP for Campaigns and Major Gifts.

In her new position, Ms. Wilkie will continue to oversee six departments including: Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, Special Events, Campaigns and Major Gifts, Research and Prospect Management, and Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations. “The ongoing success of the Advancement team’s collaborative efforts have demonstrated a commitment and dedication to Iona’s mission by continuing to ensure the acquisition of the necessary funding needed to enhance and advance the collegial experience for thousands of talented students,” said Ms. Wilkie.
