Tan Republic to sponsor the Run For Kyron Benefit Race

Tan Republic, the largest tanning company in Oregon, has signed on to sponsor the Kyron Horman Foundation, which is a benefit run on November 12 at Heron Lake Golf Course.

Sept. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- This event will take place to raise funds and awareness for Kyron Horman, who went missing on June 4th, 2010 from Skyline Elementary School in Portland. The community showed it's concern and support immediately and a band of volunteers for Kyron and his family was formed.

The purpose of the Kyron Horman foundation is and always will be to bring Kyron home. Kyron needs to be home and his family needs him to home. The foundation believes that the job is not done, because Kyron is not home yet.

There will be a Kids Race of varying distances - 1K - 5K - 10K.  The event will take place on the entire 18-hole Great Blue Course.

Those who are interested may register at www.runforkyron.com.  This is a USAT&F and Uberthons sanctioned event.  As always, Kids Race Free!

The event will raise money for the Foundation in its effort to help people be aware that Kyron is still missing.

The runs will be timed with ITS Jaquar system - the system that uses overhead RFID antennas.  The chips are disposable - so take it home with you.  See more of the event and timing system at www.uberthons.com

This is the first time a 5k and 10k event has been allowed on the golf course. This is an opportunity for the community to compete, have fun, and continue their fitness programs - and those who participate will be supporting a great cause!
