By: Tampa Digital If you do—and have other stories to tell, you need to connect online with the Tampa Natives Show, which is re-launching as a live, weekly interactive web streamed topical program strongly supported by social media elements. Relive and share the passions and memories of growing up and living in Tampa with hosts Steve Cannella, Mario Núñez and Sally Núñez, also known as the “15-minute Girl.” The Tampa Natives Show will stream live each week at www.tampanativesshow.com. Tampa Digital, a visual communications company, is proudly producing the new Internet iteration of the Tampa Natives Show, after it has completed three seasons on local television. The Tampa Native Show’s new season starts October 5, 2011, with special first guest Arch Deal talking about television in Tampa. Mr. Deal spent more than 18 years as major on-air anchor and assistant news director for WFLA-TV, then two years as news anchor and news director for WLCY-TV. He was a Miller Lite All-Star for 10 years, running the Miller Sky Diving Team, while flying and reporting traffic for Q105 at the same time. “What started as a social experiment has woven into a significantly strong thread pulling together the fabric of the Tampa community,” said host Mario Núñez, a fourth-generation Tampa native. “Re-launching on the Internet and leveraging social media will further our reach across the area and as we migrate our thousands of Facebook friends from local TV to interactive web programming. This is a natural progression in the evolution of the Tampa Natives Show. Our viewers visceral reactions to sharing stories and memories has never been this much fun!” The Tampa Natives Show is a preservation project that focuses on the historical heritage of Tampa. The show is a lightning rod to the sense of community felt daily among the generations of Tampans and the surrounding local populace. Every day our area loses someone in the community, and this show is one important way to archive our indigenous history and keep our traditions alive. “This interactive iteration of the Tampa Natives Show is a fresh look with new elements, such as social media. This will allow the program to grow and expand within the area and tell others how special our community really is,” said Chuck Mann, show producer, Tampa Digital. “The show will continue to be creative, entertaining, fun, and provide a deep community service. It’s certainly a terrific show that’s important to Tampa.” About Tampa Natives Show The Tampa Natives Show is an inspiring local origination broadcast about growing up in Tampa, Florida.
