New Spa Services Funding Orphan’s Home, One Treatment At A Time

The newest addition to Tranquility Day Spa’s line of services is helping fund the construction of a home for orphans thousands of miles away.

Sept. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Haymarket, Va. – Tranquility Day Spa is donating $1 from each service delivered at its recently opened Beauty Bar to Every Orphan’s Hope (EOH), an organization that helps support children in Zambia orphaned by AIDS.

The Beauty Bar, which opened August 18, helped generate some $200 for EOH in its first month of operation. Tranquility Day Spa Co-founders Gloria and Wayne Harding presented the check to EOH founder Gary Schneider on September 20.

“Doing what’s right can be a very beautiful thing,” said Harding. “While we’re happy that the Beauty Bar is off to a successful start, it’s even more satisfying knowing that every customer that comes to the bar is helping young children so desperately in need.”

The donations will continue indefinitely, Harding said. The money donated by the Tranquility Day Spa Beauty Bar services will help fund the construction of an EOH home in Zambia, which Harding and her family plan to visit and help build in 2012.

EOH works through local churches to defend, comfort, encourage, care for and pray for orphans. Each EOH home houses four boys and four girls, as well as a widowed mother to care for them.

The Beauty Bar fundraising builds upon Tranquility Day Spa’s existing support of EOH’s work. Earlier this year, Harding and the spa team helped raise nearly $11,000 for the just-completed Molly’s House EOH orphanage in Zambia. The house was named in honor of Molly Mizerak, a Loudoun County resident who passed away earlier this year, but not before she and her family dedicated their lives to supporting EOH. The Mizerak family has made a pledge to build 49 more homes in Molly’s name, and Tranquility Day Spa will assist in raising funds.

Tranquility Day Spa’s Beauty Bar offers some 30 services, each priced at $30 or less and available on a walk-in basis. The Beauty Bar is an ideal supplement to Tranquility Day Spa’s extensive line of full-service spa and salon offerings.
