Smartec introduced CCTV cameras with Sony Effio processor, IR filter and up to 700 TVL resolution

Sept. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Smartec STC-3014 analog cameras are equipped with 1/3" Sony Double-Speed 960H CCD, Sony Effio processor and mechanically removable IR cut filter. These CCTV cameras can generate images in the Day/Night modes with 680/700 TVL resolution at up to 0.03/0.01 lux of minimum illumination (0.0001 lux in active frame accumulation mode). In addition, STC-3014 has 2D/3D DNR noise reduction system, 54 dB dynamic range (WDR) and 52 dB S/N ratio. They also provide remote configuration via RS-485, as well as E-Zoom technology for advanced scaling of the image. The new models operate using 12 VDC or 24 VAC power sources.

The basic components of the STC-3014 are Sony Effio image processor and 1/3" Double-Speed 960H CCD with dual-scan technology. Such combination can be n optimal for the security cameras, used in CCTV systems with complicated lighting conditions. Due to IR cut filter, CCTV camera switches between Day/Night modes and generates informative video information at up to 0.03/0.01 lux of minimum illumination (up to 0.0001 lux in active frame accumulation mode). Additional camera features provide Scheduled Shutter Mode technology, allowing the operator to configure electronic shutter operation.

Switching between Day/Night modes is carried out automatically upon reaching of threshold level of illumination on the CCTV application, according to the schedule or manual settings. In order to avoid accidental switching after brief change in lighting conditions (short backlight, shadow of trees, etc.), CCTV camera uses Delay Time function, which allows the operator to adjust switching delay time (up to 4 minutes).

Camera wide dynamic range is achieved by auto adjustment of the exposure in double-speed operation mode of CCD. Due to hardware WDR, CCTV camera generates a balanced picture of the application with extreme changing of lighting level. In combination with high-res CCD and two-level video processing, STC-3014 provides the operator with high-quality video information even in difficult lighting conditions.

STC-3014 generates images with 680/700 TVL resolution and uses a wide range of image enhancement technologies implemented in the modern Sony Effio processor. For example, to eliminate noise components of the signal, new CCTV camera two-dimensional and three-dimensional noise reduction systems (2D/3D DNR). Thus, 2D DNS algorithm utilizes spatial noise removal filter, while 3D DNS - time filter that analyzes related images and eliminates the distortion and noise, especially in transmission of the dynamic scenes. To increase the detail of shadow areas of the frame, CCTV camera uses XDR (Extended Dynamic Range) function of the dynamic adjustment of image brightness.

STC-3014 hardware motion detection detects moving objects in the CCTV area and supports face recognition in the frame (up to 4 simultaneously) with the ability to display the alarm message. Due to the new E-Zoom technology, CCTV camera can increase objects’ detail in the frame. The camera also allows the operator to set up to 16 private masking zones with adjustable size and position.

Installation of STC-3014 can be performed on any surface with special STB-C01 and STB-C02 brackets. The camera is powered via DC (12V) or AC (24V) power supply, while its power consumption does not exceed 3.5 W. CCTV camera supports lenses with auto iris control, featuring VD/DC operation control and C/CS mount. Remote configuration of the image parameters can be carried out via RS-485 network interface.
