Schultze Asset Management LLC is pleased to announce that Alex Slavin has joined the firm

Sept. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Schultze Asset Management LLC is pleased to announce that Alex Slavin has joined the firm as a junior associate.  In his role as a junior associate, Alex will be responsible for assisting the managing member and analysts in identifying, analyzing and monitoring investments for the firm’s portfolios as well as assisting the firm in their marketing efforts.

Prior to joining SAM, Mr. Slavin was an analyst for Fordham’s Student Managed Investment Fund in which he and other investment committee members managed $1,000,000 of Fordham’ University’s endowment.  

In addition to the above,  Mr. Slavin interned at Merrill Lynch where he assisted a team of three financial advisors in managing portfolios for clients as well as marketing their services to prospective clients.

Mr. Slavin earned a BS in Finance with a concentration in Accounting from Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business.

Schultze Asset Management, LLC was founded by George J. Schultze in 1998 to exploit opportunities in distressed securities by investing long and/or short in the securities of companies undergoing restructurings or reorganizations.
