There is availability in the afternoon program for 4 year olds at Playmates Cooperative Preschool.

Sept. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- SAN FRANCISCO,  --- Have you found typical pre-school hours not flexible enough to meet your needs?  Then consider Playmates Cooperative Nursery School.  Playmates Coop offers both a rich curriculum and a flexible program schedules.  There is now availability in our afternoon program for 4 year olds.  The program runs from 1 – 4 pm, with the possibility of adding “Lunch Bunch” from 12 – 1 pm, and Extended Care from 4 – 6 pm.

The play-based preschool program is designed for children between the ages of 2.5 years and 5 years old. It is run by parents/guardians who work together on a daily basis under the guidance of well-trained teachers, to offer children first-hand experience with art, music and movement, manipulatives, science and nature. Children also have the opportunity to make social contacts, to share and cooperate while learning to communicate their needs and feelings in appropriate ways.

In 1990, the school extended offerings to include a special Young 5 program. The program is tailored specifically for the individual needs of young five year olds. To enroll in the Young 5 program, a child must be five years old by December 31st.  There are currently openings in our Young 5 program.
