| Diversity Community Foundation (DCF) Continues the Fight against Hunger in today’s youth!DCF BackPack Buddy Program will be accepting food donations at Kroger on Martin Luther King Jr Blvd on Saturday, October 1 from 10am to 2pm. Monetary and Bulk donations from other stores will be accepted. Volunteers and Sponsors Needed!
DCF has partnered with Kroger to HOST A DRIVE! This food drive will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 10 am until 2pm. All are invited to participate in this food drive to benefit Hunter Elementary School. Kroger is located at 1610 Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard Raleigh, NC 27610-3468 which intersects at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd and Raleigh Blvd. DCF is also in need of volunteers to help during the food drive. This would make an excellent community service project for high school or college students, civic or fraternal organizations. You may volunteer by downloading the volunteer from our website, www.DCFcares.org or emailing a request to info@dcfcares.org. Please come to Kroger and support the BackPack Buddy program and drop off food items. DCF accepts all types of donations BackPacks, food, prizes, time, monetary, service and supplies. DCF is committed to ensuring youth become successful, well-rounded, positive adults to lead our great nation in the future. DCF provided summer BackPacks of food which contained 14 meals and 3 snacks per backpack to 10 families for 8 weeks throughout the summer. DCF summer food program handed out over 1120 meals bringing the grand total of meals distributed to 4,060 since March of 2011. # # # DCF is a nonprofit organization that provides academic and educational services for boys only from age 8 through 21. This program provides access to study & life skills, cultural enrichment and job training for those who have the desire and drive to excel.
