By: PEPY Tours http://www.youtube.com/ Now entering its 7th year, the ride is staying true to its roots by bringing you all the best that Cambodia has to offer. Traveling by bike allows a pace that is slow enough to foster a connection with the country and its people, but daring enough to leave you feeling challenged and revived. Between days spent marvelling at the ancient temples of Angkor, meandering through the lush greenery of the rice paddies, and exploring quaint communities and vibrant towns alike, we will arrange meetings with inspiring leaders who will share their models of community and international development with us. This journey will give great insight into aid work and create an opportunity to reflect upon how development programs can be both beneficial and detrimental to the communities in which they work. The trip cost includes a fundraising component, 100% of which goes to PEPY Cambodia, our sister non-profit offering ongoing educational programs in rural Cambodia. The fundraising aspect of our tours allows participants to go where their money goes and see the results of PEPY’s programs, which expand opportunities for local youth to be the change they wish to see in their communities. PEPY Tours is part of a global movement away from “voluntourism” # # # PEPY Tours is a social enterprise that offers development education adventures, which fund educational programs throughout Cambodia. The PEPY Tours team believes that travel should be adventurous, educational, and fun while also benefiting local communities. Participants have the chance to learn about and interact with development programs, social entrepreneurs, and local communities and all PEPY Tours offerings have a tour fee as well as a fundraising component. This fundraising amount goes towards educational development programs to ensure that the positive impact of these trips lasts far beyond the length of the tour. End
