Nevada PEP Selected as Finalist for Small Business Excellence Award

Las Vegas, Nv- The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce has selected Nevada Parents Encouraging Parents (PEP) as a finalist for its 2011 Small Business Award. Nevada PEP is one of three finalists selected by judges from an elite group of nominees in the Non Profit category. Nevada PEP met all the criteria for the second year in a row.
Nevada PEP has demonstrated good stewardship of donor dollars and sound business practices, while meeting commitment to its organizational mission. Additionally, Nevada PEP has continued to have strong local community involvement and has partnered effectively with the business community.
“We are very honored to be recognized by the Chamber as a finalist in the Non Profit category,” said Stephanie Vrsnik, Community Development Director for Nevada PEP. “We have a great team dedicated to educating, encouraging and empowering parents who have children with disabilities. Together we are building a stronger community”.
The winner will be announced at the Small Business Excellence Awards Luncheon, on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Rio All Suites Hotel & Casino (3700 W. Flamingo Rd.) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Nevada State Bank will sponsor this year’s event.
Our Mission To increase the opportunities for home, community and school success for children with disabilities, including those who are at risk or who have serious emotional disturbances, their families and their service providers, through education, encouragement and empowerment activities.
