New Agency, SEOwned, Established to Help the North’s Small Businesses Be Found Online

Sept. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- New online marketing agency, SEOwned - http://www.seowned.co.uk/  - established in the last fortnight, has set itself a challenge: to prove that it can cost-effectively help smaller businesses, local to the north of England, to a bigger, better online presence.

“There’s so much focus on national and international ranking in search engines that sometimes the costs of proper online campaigns escalate unnecessarily, which is off putting to smaller businesses,” said Managing Director Dan Taylor. “Yet most can make some massive wins online with just a few small changes or through the appropriate use of social media. We’ve set out to prove that it doesn’t need to be expensive to be found.”

Established a few short weeks ago, SEOwned will be working with some of the Wirrall’s best small businesses including Express Clean valeting, payroll specialists Zanter and floor cleaning specialists Surface Lab to help them be found by the right people in the right places.

“We have already reduced one client’s advertising spend to a quarter of what it was,  increasing visitors to the site by half again in the process,” said Taylor.

Taylor’s background is impressive: he has worked within SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) agencies such as Just Search, one of the best known in the country, and in marketing roles within companies such as Moneysupermarket.com and Manchester United (although his personal passion is Everton).

SEOwned began as ‘friends and family’ type project, with Taylor helping friends with small businesses, quickly realising that this market is poorly served at present, primarily due to a lack of suitably experienced and qualified individuals.
