Sept. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- (San Rafael, CA) – In recent years the phrase "going green" has been used extensively. Tom Marx, president and CEO of The Marx Group and Gary McCoy, public relations director, will bring clarity to what green marketing is all about when they present "Put Your Green Foot Forward: Building Blocks to Promote Your Green Message." The seminar will take place during the 2011 BIG R Show on Sunday, October 30 from 1 pm to 2 pm at The Las Vegas Hilton Hotel.

“With so many green products and eco-friendly promises circulating, it is important to review your company’s marketing and business practices to make sure you are taking full advantage of all your green marketing opportunities," explained Marx. "Remanufacturing is a green business that can offer a huge selling point when telling your story to customers."

Remanufacturers will be challenged to look at all their business practices to uncover internal environmental strengths, such as the use of recycled parts and renewable resources. Marx and McCoy will help remanufacturers examine their company’s green marketing and business activities that will enhance their marketing efforts.

Marx's knowledge of business-to-business and consumer marketing and advertising spans 25+ years. He brings a depth of marketing expertise from many industries, including automotive and heavy duty parts and services, motorsports, computer hardware and software, telecommunications, broadcast, real estate, financial services, and resort property management. Marx is the co-author of "Marketing Sucks! (And Sales, too!)," writes a monthly e-newsletter and speaks on marketing, M&A and other aftermarket topics. He is also an active member of SEMA, AAIA, AASA, ACC, APRA and HDMA.

McCoy has been active in marketing communications in the automotive and heavy duty industries for nearly 20 years. In addition to his work with The Marx Group, he is the president of Fairway Communications and the managing editor of Springs, a quarterly publication of the Spring Manufacturers Institute (SMI) and regularly contributes to APRA’s Global Connection newspaper and several other aftermarket publications. McCoy has a passion for continuing education, having promoted the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) since 1998. In 2009 McCoy received the Northwood University Automotive Aftermarket Management Education Award.
