The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge Gives Spa Complete Makeover

Sept. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge has announced the completion of a substantial renovation to The Spa at Ballantyne. Interjecting sleek, contemporary elements into a traditional space, key improvements include new décor featuring earthy tones, upgraded equipment, more spacious and tranquil lounge areas, as well as an open reception area. These transitional design components all contribute to an enhanced sense of arrival experience.

All 18 treatment rooms features new lighting, calming green accent walls, upgraded treatment beds with built-in heated mattress pads and new linens. Additional innovative amenities include dedicated towel robe warmers, as well as chromatherapy lighting, which changes colors based on each guest’s element type, in massage rooms.

The Spa at Ballantyne’s new ladies lounge exudes soft blue, khaki and espresso tones, creating a bright and airy setting. Signature design elements include a ventless fireplace, setting a warm, soothing tone for the space and plantation shutters, displaying picturesque views of the golf course’s 18th hole. Enhanced showers feature natural stone accents, which are aesthetically pleasing and can be used to massage the feet.

Additional new design elements include a stone-top reception desk and a wave wall behind the reception area. The modern, clean-lined reception area offers a better welcome experience for guests.

The Salon at Ballantyne features special lighting designed to mimic daylight to ensure make-up and hair color is suited to the guest’s vision. Espresso-colored salon stations, separate backwash shampoo bowls with remote control recliners and enhanced lighting create a more dramatic effect.

The Spa at Ballantyne has unveiled a new menu that is inspired by the Four Elements – Earth, Water, Air and Fire and focuses on customization to address each guest’s personal goals for his or her spa experience. Earth (Massage)
The Chakra Journey Massage uses seven aromatherapy oil blends attuned to each of the body’s seven vital energy centers to establish a deep state of relaxation. Each oil is introduced with simple key words and a different energy of touch, vitalizing all of the body’s systems. Truly experiential, the actual oils are vibrational and color treated to match the chakras.  

Facial Treatments (Air)
