Sept. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Building on a decade of work in the sector, games-ED (part of pixelfountain) has set up a consultancy service.

“We have been developing and delivering learning simulations / games based learning for over ten years. That means we are well placed to help others with their games based learning development and deliver projects”, Paul Ladley, Director pixelfountain (games-ED).

games-ED ( consultancy in five areas:

1. Bespoke Development: games-ED can develop bespoke games for use in the classroom or on the web.

2. Project Delivery: games-ED can help you deliver a games based learning project using our product or with bespoke products.

3. Games Design: games-ED can help you design an innovative games based learning product whether for the web or the classroom. The design project can even be turned into a project in its own right. For example, the company recently worked with schools in St Helens designing a recycling game -

4. Analysis & Design: games-ED can support the design and development of your games based learning products and project. The company can offer product readiness services. For example, the company helped Valpak ready it Eco Battle for Detritus game for the education market -

The consultancy is led by Paul Ladley. He is the lead designer at games-ED and specialises in serious games and games based learning. He designed and developed my first game back in 1998 called Virtual Training and has been designing ever since. He has created games that are delivered on the web and games that are played collaboratively in workshops / classrooms.
