Icon News: Launches New .US Site for 911 Ten Year Anniversary

Sept. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Hollywood, CA  - Atomic Lawn Entertainment, LLC is proud to announce the launch of the TV show's new website and it comes with a .US extension, rather than the traditional .com or .net extension to honor those American's who lost their lives and the lives of their loved one's on September 11, 2011.
.US accounts are domains that are reserved for companies that are based in the United States and are owned by United States Citizens.  "This is huge.  Icon News is simply the first national television show to use a .US based web domain.  This makes a huge statement, that .US is no longer a government domain, but rather an online battle call, a pledge of allegiance to the national cause in a time of economic uncertainty.  It's nation over commerce.  Asking not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country if you will." says Jonothan Maine, Silicon Valley guru and former Google Marketing strategist.  The show site also features a Made in USA stamp of approval to show support in America's fight to employ and rebuild the current economy.

Says Icon News show host and CEO of Atomic Lawn Entertainment, LLC, Lew Marklin, who's company has produced 136 major television and film projects since 2002, as listed on iMDB.
Marklin, a.k.a. Lewis Marklin Mash, founded Atomic Lawn Entertainment, LLC in 2000.  The name has a very specific meaning.  Mash grew up in Cerritos California and in 1986 his childhood neighborhood was the sight of a horrific air plane disaster that killed 88 people and demolished a city block.  "When I stepped outside that morning and watched that plane skid into my neighborhood, all I can remember seeing was a mushroom cloud of fire and smoke come from the neighborhood behind us, as the plane skidded though homes and struck a gas line." Says Mash, who was 12 years old at the time.  Mash adds, when my friends and I got to the scene, the fire trucks had not arrived, there were crashes up and down the street and it literally looked like an atomic bomb hit their front lawns, thus I named my production company Atomic Lawn Entertainment in 2000, after those memories."  Mash goes on to say, "At that moment, I had no idea that one year later, I would be watching something so horrific as the 911 crashes at the World Trade Center.  I sat and watched in disbelief and it took me right back to that childhood memory."  About the new site Mash says "When we were deciding on the new website for Icon News, we had several options.  Freshly coming off of President Obama's State of the Union address about the current economy and stimulus plan, I felt that God just opened my eyes, I saw the .US extension and Made in America stamp as a way to show our support of this country but also the economy.  We hope to employ many Americans over the years as this TV show grows and expands, including minorities, physically and mentally disabled adults, those on unemployment and even welfare.  We are committing to this vision and believe that this is what this package is meant to do."
