Albagnano, the Mirror by Ana Jorda - Available Now

Sept. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- This is the story of my experience in a small, remote Alpine village in Italy, where I arrived ten years ago to live and work as a volunteer in a Buddhist healing meditation center and a world peace foundation, a Non Governmental Organization, inspired and founded by a Tibetan lama. The situations and events surrounding the first years of the meditation center in the forgotten village of Albagnano in Piemonte, the natural environment, the center teachings and ceremonies, are the setting. Local neighbors, Tibetan lamas, their Italian followers, Buddhists from all over the world, and the outsiders, including myself, who steadily began to flood and change the sleepy frazione on the side of the hill overlooking breathtaking views of mountains and lake, are the characters. This curious mélange, melting pot at local level, which transformed the village and its inhabitants, provoked, from the beginning, unusual and enlightening developments.

As a tribute to the years in Albagnano, to the lama healer who inspired us, to the people who built a community that proves that peaceful living is possible among different cultures, different minds and different beliefs, as their witness, their storyteller, I offer them our story.
