Full Sail University Team ranks Strong in Google Online Marketing Challenge

Sept. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Congratulations to the Full Sail University team of Tim Anderson (Team Captain), Jasmin Perez , and Eric Gore for ranking strong in the 2011 Google Online Marketing Challenge!

In the 2011 Challenge, there were over 35,000 students competing from more than 95 countries. To be in the top ten percent teams out of the thousands who competed globally is quite an accomplishment. There were four global regions in the Google Challenge: Americas, Europe, MEA (Middle East and Africa) and Asia Pacific. The Americas region consisted of teams competing in North America, Central America, and South America.

Heather Torres, a marketing professor at Full Sail University, sponsored the team. The students developed an online marketing campaign using Google AdWords for their client the SPCA of Central Florida, a local non-profit organization preventing animal cruelty since 1937. There campaign specifically marketed the array of products and services the SPCA offers including pet adoptions, kids summer camps, and the vet clinic services.

Tim Anderson was the Team Captain in the Google Challenge. He will graduate Full Sail University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in web development. Originally from Northwest Florida, he currently works as a web developer for his own business. Jasmin Perez will complete her degree in 2011 with a major in music business. She currently works as a trainer at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida. Eric Gore just graduated from Full Sail University in 2011 with a marketing major in Entertainment Business.

This is the first time that a Full Sail University team has participated in the Google challenge.
