Bangalore: Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK), one of the country’s premier B-schools, will host an E-Summit (Entrepreneurship Summit), a two day event on 3rd & 4th September 2011 at IIM Kozhikode campus. E-Summit 2011 will facilitate interaction between Venture Capitalists, seasoned & upcoming entrepreneurs, academia and students all across the country.
The summit will involve participation from esteemed business leaders like Swapnil Dixit - co-founder of Tata Jagriti Yatra, Irfan Alam - founder ofSammaan Foundation and the winner of Business World’s Most Promising Entrepreneur Award, Mansukhbhai Prajapati - creator of Mitticool and listed in the Forbes seven most powerful rural Indian entrepreneurs, Shradha Sharma - founder of YourStory.in, one of the most followed online platform for first generation Indian entrepreneurs and also the online partner of CNBC TV18 Young Turks, Bipin Chandran - Chief Editor of Business magazine "Entrepreneur" of Infomedia18, the publishing arm of the Network18 group and Siva Cotipalli - co-founder of Dhanax Microfinance will be gracing the occasion as a part of the guest lecture series.

E-Summit 2011 will include a gamut of activities such as entrepreneurial guest lectures, workshops viz., ‘How to expand your business’, ‘How to reduce cost in a start-up business’ and panel discussions like “Raising investments for a startup business” with inspirational people such as Nitin Gupta, Nitin Agarwal, Vikhyat Srivastava and Avira Tharakan.

Furthermore, an investment fair will be conducted, where IIMK students will help the invited start-ups to pitch in front of Venture Capitalists firms for their own funding requirements.
Making another effort towards nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst Indian society, the Entrepreneurship Cell of IIM Kozhikode will also be organizing a train journey from Bangalore to Kozhikode on the eve of E-Summit 2011. In the first of its kind initiative by any B-School, the सहकारिता Yatra will witness active participation of students, entrepreneurs, startups, mentors and other stake-holders of the society who aspire to set a foot forward on the journey towards entrepreneurship.
