Follow on Google News | New products on trial to help control birds and ratsA Surrey-based company is making sure it stays one step ahead in the war against pest birds and rats
By: Blueberry PR Staff are also trialling a new rodenticide that could help eliminate infestations in parts of the country where rats have become resistant to other poisons. Cleankill is one of the first commercial pest control companies in the UK to trial the gel which has successfully been used in Asia for several years. Paul Bates, Managing Director of Cleankill, said: “We have a range of techniques that we use depending on the situation and are always keen to make sure we use the latest products and equipment. The gel gives off an ultra violet light which the birds see as flames, so they are put off landing. The product seems quick, easy to use and keeps pest birds off structures without harming them, while also maintaining the aesthetics of the building.” Calls to deal with rats have also increased with rubbish collections being less frequent and people leaving full bin bags outside their homes. But with some rodents being resistant to the commonly used poisons such as bromadialone and difenacoum, pest controllers have found their jobs increasingly challenging. Now, for the first time in more than 20 years, a new product for rodent control has been released which contains an active ingredient called difethialone. “We are very excited about trialling this new product which will help us deliver the best possible service to our customers and help us to get rid of rats as quickly as possible,” Paul said. Cleankill Environmental Service started in 1995 and is a specialist provider of pest control services to retail, commercial and industrial properties throughout the UK. The company deals with ‘distress’ ENDS For further information or interview requests, contact Suzi Christie at Blueberry PR on 01435 830031 or e-mail suzi@blueberry- End
