IP-Converge posts 60% growth in net income for first-half of 2011

Aug. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- IP Converge Data Center, Inc., the country’s first and only publicly listed Internet Data Center and Cloud Services Provider (PSE: ‘CLOUD’), posted net earnings of Php33.5M for the first–half of 2011, or a 60% increase from the Php20.95M it reported for the same period last year.  The company’s financial performance is attributed to increased connectivity sales, consisting of Internet bandwidth and IPLCs (International Private Line Circuits).

Revenues rose to Php259.42M in the first-half of 2011, while gross profit also increased by 14%, amounting to Php78.9M.

IP-Converge President Rene Huergas comments that the company’s co-location services is expected to generate more revenue in the coming months, as it opens its new facility in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, this September.

According to a study by Frost & Sullivan on the Asia-Pacific data center services market, 14 APAC nations grossed US$ 2.3 Billion in 2009, with an average revenue growth of 12.8% YoY, and this is expected to rise further to 16.4% towards the end of 2011. IP-Converge has positioned itself to leverage on this growth, and gain significant market share.
