Books – everyone is too busy to read these days. Boszenna Nowiki is going to spend the next few weeks, walking to Ottawa to remind everyone that they have time to read and that it is important to take the time to read.  Boszenna Nowiki, the author of series of books “Why Some Cats are Rascals”, a resident of Mississauga, embarks on 04 August 2011 on a walk of over 560km to Ottawa to see Prime Minister Honourable Harper.  Along the walk, she wants to spread awareness to people that reading to your children is extremely important.
This walk is the tribute and a big thanks to those who helped the author on her 3 years journey, while she re-established herself and her home after losing her home to bad laws in British Columbia.
Her vision is to help children to read more books.
Read to me Daddy -- To encourage parents (especially fathers) and children to read books.
Boszenna Nowiki (age 57) is the author of a series of books for children titled "Why Some Cats are Rascals". Those books are a fun adventure and stories of cats, their struggles and great overcome of all obstacles.
The author would like to appeal to all parents, (in the era of computers and all kinds of games) that they do not forget what an important role in the life of a child a book plays.
Reading books for children and young people affects their emotional development, enriches the imagination and gives a sense of respect for colleagues, and also to animals which are the most important friends.
Parents are extremely busy with their everyday affairs and do not have enough time to devote to their kids.  Therefore, it is Boszenna’s appeal to parents, that every day they spend 20 minutes reading to their children, reading with their children or have their children read to them.
This reminder / encouragement especially directed to fathers. They (as noted in research studies) devote the least time to their daughters and sons.
Today I would like to publicize the motto: "Read to me DADDY"
The role of the father in the life of every child is very important and essential. Father is a model and a great authority for their children. Common daily reading is to develop positive relationships between fathers and children.
Boszenna Nowiki is the voice and advocate of lonely elderly people in Canada who have problems with understanding the old legislation.  You can compare these provisions that have been “rascally” interpreted.
The walk / march will start on August 4, 2011 at 10 am from the area of Derry Road / Lisgar in Mississauga.   The first stretch of the walk to Ottawa leads to Mavis and HWY 7th.  Every day, Boszenna plans to walk 10 - 15 km. “I'm not a young person (57 years), I was no sportswoman, but the path (walk) does not scare me.  This walk is a mission that I have chosen to overcome and challenge which I intend to cope.”
"Why Some Cats are Rascals" up to day is six volumes of books. Soon, this series will be extended for a further three volumes.

“Why some Cats are rascals” is a series of six published books.  Children and adults from around the world have enjoyed reading the adventures of these cats.  Each book focuses the adventure on a specific area of the world – enchanted forest, Sahara Desert, Wildy Wild West, Prehistoric times, Antarctica, and Cat Island.  Along the way, the reader will learn some good values like friendship, compassion and love.
