Pierson Requirements Group Hosts Live, Interactive User Acceptance Testing Workshop

Pierson Requirements Group Leads an Instructor-Led, Virtual User Acceptance Testing Seminar August 15-17
Aug. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Pierson Requirements Group has announced they will be offering a User Acceptance Testing class August 15-17. The seminar focuses on user acceptance testing; more specifically, the concepts, background and formal techniques that facilitate this phase. Broken down into three sessions, the course is designed for business analysts who are involved with the user acceptance phase of IT projects. After taking this course, business analysts are expected to handle the methods and procedures that follow suit with this stage of Iterative Deployment.

Business analysts engaged in User Acceptance Testing will learn how to identify project risks and decide what to test. They will be able to navigate the proper methods for training and know how to be an effective trainer across applications. The course provides ample opportunities to discuss how user acceptance training fits into the project life cycle and determine which techniques, user acceptance test scenarios and resources should be used in user acceptance training.

During the User Acceptance Testing course, students take part in identifying and writing test scenarios and test cases using UML and Use cases. Quality check requirements documents and use cases will be applied, and repeatable processes are identified for User Acceptance Training. Most importantly, students will be able to recognize the roles and responsibilities that the Business Analyst has in User Acceptance Training.

The User Acceptance Testing class provides a balance of hands-on training and teacher-led discussions. Students will be given practical exercises that allow them to quality check requirements documents, use testing techniques and methods, write test scenarios, create user acceptance testing plans and strategies and write detailed defect reports. Performing usability testing techniques and formal acceptance reviews are also part of the practical exercises that students are given. These hands-on exercises are what encourage better customer satisfaction.

Pierson Requirements Group offers public seminars that are given in a virtual format. The workshops are divided into three, half-day sessions that run from 1 pm to 5 pm Eastern Time. Workshops include web-based material and live interaction instruction by phone. To develop the skills learned in the workshops, printable .pdf materials are offered at the end of the course. These seminars are some of the few that are both interactive and led by a qualified instructor.  Pierson also offers all its training courses on-site at the customer’s location for groups of from 5 to 15 participants.  A complete list of all courses along with their agendas can be found at http://www.piersonrequirementsgroup.com.

These interactive training workshops are a cost-effective option for businesses, as they cutout the cost of traveling and lodging.
