Available in six basic configurations, the 6402 Series can be adapted for almost any folding and inserting application. Two, four and six-station models are available to meet your particular needs. Each configuration is also offered as a “B” model* for inserting bottom address documents into top flap envelopes. The FD 6402-Standard 2 has two standard feeders with all the advanced features of the 6402 Series. The FD 6402- Special 2 has one standard feeder and one special feeder for processing glossy and heavier paper stock. Two four-station models provide increased productivity and flexibility. The FD 6402-Standard 4 offers four standard feeders and the FD 6402-Special 4 comes with two standard feeders and two special feeders. Both four-station models are modular and can be converted into future six-station units. The FD 6402-Standard 6 further increases productivity with six standard feeders. The ultimate in flexibility is available with the FD 6402-Special 6 boasting four standard feeders and two special feeders to process even the most demanding jobs quickly and efficiently. The 6402 Series Inserters deliver unmatched flexibility and power needed for high-end productivity in a sleek compact design that is ideal for the office environment. The 6402 Series processes at a rate of up to 4,000 pieces per hour, and can handle up to 325 sheets in each feeder. Feeders can be refilled on-the-fly allowing for continuous operation. The cascade mode maximizes production by connecting multiple feeders filled with the same document. When one feeder empties, the next automatically starts feeding, for a total capacity of up to 1,950 sheets. Double document detectors are located in both the feeder and the insertion areas to ensure that no double documents are fed into the system. If double documents are detected, they can be diverted for inspection without interrupting the flow of operation. The optional Optical Mark Recognition feature allows for the automatic insertion of multiple-page documents. Multiple OMR options are available to suit your particular needs and in many cases avoid the need for reprogramming. The color touchscreen control panel is centrally located with a flip-down display that can be used from either side of the inserter. The AutoSetTM feature sets the standard for ease-of-use. All settings such as fold type, fold length, envelope size, paper length, and double-document detection are set automatically. Simply load the material and go.
