Dreams of Google Plus Business Pages - What Next.. Google + Markup Language for Landing Pages?

July 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Just in case your not in the loop Google Plus has been up and running and many people are exporting their csv contact files, merging other email account contacts and building circles of friends, family, acquaintances, custom groups, and soon to be business pages. According to several sources, such as PCMag.com - Google Plus already has reached more than 18 million users.

Google is very in tune with the web and I would be upset if my last name was Zuckerberg. Just imagine the tears pouring out of his eyes, a large plastic cup filled with Sauvignon in his hand, yelling out of his window in Palo Alto, CA .. "I promised them, we would be bigger than Google one day... I hate you Gooooogle!!!"

Well Boo Hoo! The system known as the Facebook killer is somewhat similar although in typical Google fashion the interface is clean, more intricate, and soon the applications they are implementing will monopolize the data gathering industry. I just hope they keep it simple, and allow the users to do whatever they want. I see the advantages in this system, because unlike Facebook - Google knows users want freedom. Human nature is to be free, and allowing us to connect without the annoying pop up ads that have been seen in wall posts, the targeted links everywhere, and third party apps with distasteful content / data collection is going to give Google a huge advantage. I look at the latest business deals Facebook has made as large mistakes. Selling out and adding more data collection points for large companies has to be done discretely, this is something Google is extremely smart about.

When users first sign up with Google Plus, they can set up a profile with pictures and details about their interests, like with other websites. Once they start adding “friends” to their page, that’s where one of the difference's comes in. Instead of adding people to one list, users can add people to different groups.The default circles are “friends,” “family,” “acquaintances” and “following.”  Users can create custom circles and pick what they share with each circle.

As an internet marketer working with business owners daily, I can see the importance in separating your contacts and sharing targeted information with each group. From a business stand point this is a big step up from Facebook.

Now the question I have been dying to know is, "When are we going to be able to start coding landing pages, optimizing profiles, and sending targeted plus's to business pages?" The benefit for business owners is very real, with a social system directly tied to the most active search engine in the world one can only imagine the algorithmic environment and the real time effects it will have in keyword searches.

Google markup language.. Similar to Facebook markup language is just a figment of my imagination! For now at least. I can foresee a type of coding being used to build pages just like on its competitor sight. Maybe it will just be standard coding, and adding style to a Google Plus business page will be easy to manipulate. For now I will keep dreaming, although very soon we will see this awesome new system come into play. Facebook may very well be a memory of the past consistent with Xanga, and Myspace in the recent years.
