There will be theme laps such as sports tshirts and hawaiian dress. Entertainment will include local bands, yoga and all pro wrestling. A kid's corner will include activities and there will be food and beverages.
The overall theme is one day, one night, one community and one fight. Over 3.5 million people celebrate Relay For Life nationwide. There will be over 300 of those in Pleasanton. It won't matter how hot the weather gets, members of over 30 teams will be walking for 24 hours.
Purple ribbons were put along downtown Main Street. About the only place that did not have some was the top of the iconic Pleasanton Arch. There has also been letters of support for the event from Congressman Jerry McNerney and State Assemblymembers Joan Buchanan, Mary Hayashi and Bob Wieckowski.
The event will be held at: Pleasanton Middle School, 5001 Case Ave. Pleasanton with opening ceremonies starting at 10:00am.
