Mutiply In Minutes Workshop Event

Megan Faux, creator of The Multiply In Minutes Workshop, refers to this method of multiplication as the skip counting methodology.  The skip counting methodology refers to counting  by numbers other than one. Skip counting by fives, for example would mean counting every five numbers (i.e. 5,10,15, 20, 25…).  Skip counting by tens would mean counting every ten numbers (i.e. 10, 20,30..).  The numbers that are generated via skip counting are the answers to multiplication problems.  Faux contends that "If students were taught to skip count by all multiples two through twelve, they would have the answers right in their heads.
