Follow on Google News | IWHOF Induction Heading to California to Honor Icons: Cali's Own in the Ranks of InducteesThe International Whitewater Hall of Fame moves to the shores of the South Fork American River, a hub for whitewater sport, to honor the Class of 2011 at The Sierra Nevada House.
By: International Whitewater Hall of Fame Keith Miller, owner of California Canoe & Kayak, chairs the local organizing team to galvanize local support for the event which includes inductees’ travel and lodging requirements during their visit, and an IWHOF paddle on the South Fork of the American River prior to the ceremony. “We could not be more pleased to host the IWHOF in California, a state rich in whitewater history and the home of renown river advocate Martin Litton (2006 inductee) and the late world river explorer Lars Holbek (2009 inductee),” notes Miller. 2011 IWHOF nominations are being accepted through IWHOF Affiliate Organizations until July 22nd.
