Dania Beach Man Hit by Bus, reported by West Palm Beach Personal Injury Attorney

July 17, 2011 - PRLog -- A Fort Lauderdale man was hit by a bus on Wednesday, July 13, 2011. The man had been riding a bicycle. He escaped without serious injuries. The man sustained only slight knee injuries.
The man was 21-years-old. The bus that hit him was a school bus. The accident happened in Dania Beach, Florida. It occurred on Wednesday morning, close to 8am.
The man had been travelling on his bike on Sterling Road in Dania Beach. He had been heading east. The man was heading to work at his job at a car repair shop in Hollywood, Florida.
At the intersection of Lake Shore Drive, the man attempted to cross the road on his bike. At the same time, the school bus was executing a turn onto Stirling Road in Dania Beach. As the bus made the turn, it unfortunately hit the man.
The man was able to jump off of his bike and thus avoid serious injury. After the man successfully jumped off of the bike, the bike slid underneath the bus. After the accident, the bike was totaled.
The bus had been travelling to a nearby school for special needs children. It was carrying seven students. Fortunately, none of the children were hurt.
The man riding the bicycle went to Memorial Regional Hospital. He went there to be treated for his minor knee injuries. No charges will be filed in the case.
