July 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Authoring stories on a laptop is a new career for Hank Drews. With a Master of Agriculture degree and B.F.A., he was an asst. professor at the University of Minnesota, artist, extension illustrator, business communications specialist, small business owner, and postal mechanic. Hank retired to write and paint for fun, and to follow his interests in the Mensa club, genealogy, and art.
Creativity, philosophy, and humor pepper his first book. A Novel Gothic Novel answers who the Goths really were. It’s an easy-reading, fun story about a troubled modern, curious family which discovers Gothica for themselves via story-telling and the power of web. A boy’s identity problem becomes a family issue. So they focus on history and Gothic artifacts to find echoes of today’s social problems. Chapter by chapter their stories vie for a cash prize, but the payoff is in old lessons learned again. Readers may be stunned to learn where Goths have gone. It is recommend for anyone’s reading pleasure.
