Milton, MA Single-Family Home Prices Rise, Sales Fall First Half 2011

Aug. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- The median price of single-family homes in Milton, Massachusetts increased in the first half of 2011 as sales decreased, according to data analyzed by Buyers Brokers Only LLC, an exclusive buyer agent real estate brokerage firm.

The data were compiled using MLS Property Information Network, Inc, a local multiple listing service.

The median price of single-family homes rose 2.8 percent in the first half of 2011 compared to the previous year, a difference of $11,750.  Single-family home sales in Milton, MA decreased 13.2 percent in the first six months of 2011, a difference of 14 sales compared to the previous year.  

In January through June 2011, the median price of condominiums decreased 7.2 percent, or $26,162 compared to the first half of 2010.  Milton condo sales fell 42.9 percent, a difference of only three sales.  

The median price of multi-family homes fell 16.3 percent in the first half of 2011 compared to the previous year, a difference of $66,100.  Sales of multi-family homes fell 56.3 percent in the first six months of 2011, a difference of nine sales compared to the six-month period in 2010.
