July 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Virtuoso guitarist VINNIE MOORE will treat New York City to a rare solo performance on July 25th at the esteemed IRIDIUM. Moore will be joined by bassist JOHN "JD" DeSERVIO of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, MIKE DiMEO of RIOT (vocals, keys) and drummer RICHIE MONICA of TANTRIC. The LES PAUL TRIO will open the show.

Vinnie Moore has established a legion of loyal fans for his extensive work as a solo artist and as guitarist with esteemed acts such as UFO and ALICE COOPER. Vinnie is a musical innovator known for his progressive neo-classical guitar style. His diverse musical influences including Latin, jazz, rock and blues are all found within his stunning signature sound and melodic songwriting.

Vinnie’s career took flight in 1987 when his breakout debut album, 'Mind’s Eye' sold over 100,000 copies. Vinnie was quickly heralded “best new talent” in Guitar Player, Guitar and Guitar World magazines. Vinnie’s latest CD “To The Core” was released in May 2009 and has received critical acclaim worldwide.

In 2003, Vinnie joined the legendary group UFO (Phil Mogg, vocals; Pete Way, bass; Jason Bonham, drums; Paul Raymond, keyboards). The band has since toured the UK, Europe and USA and released several very well-received CDs and DVDs.

Vinnie is a Dean Guitars endorsed artist and has an impressive line of high-end signature Dean guitar models. He has conducted hundreds of guitar clinics around the world including the U.S., Japan, Scandinavia, Italy, Poland, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand, England, Germany and Australia and has released two instructional videos on the HotLicks® label.

On doing clinics: “I like talking to the fans firsthand and learning from them. It’s insightful to hear what they like about what I’m doing, and what they think about the guitar genre…and the whole music scene in general. I definitely feed off of their energy. It’s cool to be part of a global guitar community, and it’s an honor to know that I can sometimes inspire others to get excited by music and guitar. It always amazes me to me to hear that I have touched someone else by doing something that I love doing so much. I consider it a gift to be playing guitar and writing songs, and feel like one of the luckiest cats in the world to have fans.”
