Our Health Hosts Tenth Golf Benefit to Benefit Nonprofit Partners

Proceeds from Annual Golf Event Support Nonprofit Partners of Kendall Community Campus by contributing to Campus Operations Funds

July 11, 2011 - PRLog -- WINCHESTER, VA (July 11, 2011) Our Health is hosting their tenth annual golf benefit at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club on Tuesday July 12, 2011. Partnering with the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club and Winchester Golf Center, registration begins at 10 am, a grab and go lunch is served to all participants and the winners are announced during a light reception at the close of the day. All proceeds from this event benefit Our Health’s Kendall Community Campus, including the Free Medical Clinic, and ten other agencies by offsetting operational costs and contributing to building and maintenance funds.

Teams and sponsors are still welcome and encouraged to participate and help the agencies involved. The board chair, Dr. John Capehart, recognized an Our Health Board Member, Reverend Jim Hewitt, by raising funds in his honor towards a tee sign. Any additional funds raised with his efforts will go towards a local high school’s golf team. Please contact Mary Falu at 540-536-1600 or by email at mfalu@valley healthlink.com if you are interested.

The campus was further expanded in 2010 when key public service agencies moved into the historically renovated Silver LEED certified Snapp Foundry Building. Our Health continues to create opportunities which elevate community involvement and commitments to the region. Its Volunteer Action Center provides viable services to connect agencies with area volunteers and enhance programs.
