Highlights include:

Fifteen, or 38%, of our schools showed an increase in their school grades.  Special recognition is extended to the following four schools for increasing two letter grades:

Boggy Creek Elementary - "C" to an "A"
               Central Avenue Elementary - "D" to a "B"
               Cypress Elementary - "C" to an "A"
Pleasant Hill Elementary - "C" to an "A"

Three, or 7%, of our schools showed a decrease in their school grades.
Twenty two, or 55%, of our schools maintained their school grades.  Fifteen Osceola schools maintained their "A" letter grade.
The district has no low-performing schools at the elementary and middle level.
Ten schools are still pending the release of the second half of their School Grades due to new requirements for those schools teaching Grades 9 through 12 students.
The district’s overall grade remains a “B,” increasing 13 points from last year to be 8 points from an "A."

"These outstanding results did not happen overnight, as they reflect the hard work continuously given by our teachers, administrators, students, support staff, and parents," said Superintendent Terry Andrews.  "With a focus on quality professional development for our educators and on raising the achievement level of all students, the district has been successful in making great progress.  We will continue to provide assistance and effective resources directly into the schools so our students can reach higher levels.  Our entire community can take great pride in the performance of our schools, and I look forward to working collaboratively towards our future academic growth."
