Follow on Google News | Canadian Short Screenplay Competition’s THE Blog Bows Nova Scotia Writer as Second #WW LaureateThe Canadian Short Screenplay Competition, proclaims three-time finalist Evan Jobb as second ever Official Writer’s Wednesday Laureate blogger on the CSSC site.
Competition Founder, David Cormican, explains, “Evan (Jobb)’s been the most consistent writer that has submitted to the CSSC, so he’s a natural to fill the spot left vacant after Carolynne’s (Ciceri) one year term in the position came to an end”. Ciceri’s last post on the CSSC site as #WW Laureate was Wednesday June 29th, 2011. Jobb’s tenure starts with his first post going live July 5th, 2011. Weekly theme(s) and topics for the blog will be left open to the whims of the Laureate, says Cormican. “Posts will obviously be film and (screen)writing related”, but as for the specific brand of inspiration being offered, interested parties will be encouraged to return weekly to the CSSC site to find out what Jobb will bring to the position and screen. When asked about his premiere post as #WW Laureate, Jobb shares: “I'm excited, but nervous at the same time. I've never been a blogger before, so this is my first post as both #Writer Wednesday Laureate and Blogger. I'll probably relax nearer the end of the day."
