SnowSkool announces new ski improver course for 2012!

Ski and snowboard instructor course provider and tour operator – SnowSkool – is pleased to announce the addition of another course to its international portfolio, in the form of a 13-week ski improver course in Banff, Canada.
 
July 1, 2011 - PRLog -- The 13-week ski improver course will run alongside SnowSkool’s existing ski instructor course taking place at Sunshine Village, Banff. SnowSkool students taking part in the improver course will benefit from a specifically tailored program dedicated to producing a marked improvement in each student’s skiing. During the first four weeks student will train for their CSIA level one qualification, providing a fantastic foundation to build on throughout the remainder of the course, as well as providing students with a useful professional qualification for the future.

After the CSIA level one assessment in week 5 the individual modules of the improver course begin to come into their own. With subsequent weeks dedicated to freestyle skiing, racing, backcountry skiing, and mountain awareness. Working in partnership with Cirrus Mountain Guides, students of the SnowSkool ski improver course will also receive dedicated backcountry training from fully qualified IMFGA mountain guides. During these dedicated two backcountry weeks students will learn invaluable skills such as crevasse rescue, backcountry survival, and backcountry touring. As well as experiencing and exploring some of the finest untracked powder fields known to man.

Students of the SnowSkool ski improver course will be housed at the Banff Alpine Lodge at Tunnel Mountain. Included within the price of the course are; return flights, accommodation, breakfast & dinner 5-days per week, lift pass, ground transport, instruction 5-days per week, the CSIA level 1 exam fee, and SnowSkool’s 24/7 rep service.
