Get a Bird's Eye View at Signature Room's Private Air & Water Show Events

June 30, 2011 - PRLog -- CHICAGO, Ill. – The Chicago Air and Water Show has become a summer highlight for locals and visitors alike.  Enjoy the two-day event in the best seats in the city at The Signature Room at the 95th, 875 N. Michigan Avenue, on Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The Signature Room gives attendees an 1100-foot advantage over any other viewing seat for this fun weekend event, plus gourmet cuisine and refreshing drinks all day long in the comfort of a private dining room.

This year’s show headliners include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights and the U.S. Navy Parachute Team Leap Frogs.  Guests will also have the opportunity to observe the talent of the Civilian Aircrafts. Guests of The Signature Room’s private event won’t miss a detail as ongoing commentary of the show will be aired throughout the event.

Guests can indulge in the extensive buffets prepared by Executive Chef Patrick Sheerin specifically for this occasion, as well as summer cocktails and an array of other beverages as the planes fly right past the windows.  A savory buffet will open the day’s culinary offerings while a decadent dessert buffet will provide a sweet ending to the afternoon.

From 12 – 2 pm, breakfast selections include assorted fresh fruit, yogurt, house made granola and fresh berries, and the chef’s selection of breakfast breads and assorted mini pastries including: raspberry vanilla scones, chocolate chip muffins, blueberry muffins, croissants and peach coffee cake .The savory buffet will feature selections including buttermilk fried chicken with selection of hot sauces, a selection of assorted sandwiches, smoked salmon salad and pumpernickel, slow roasted NY strip with chipotle mayo and pretzel rolls, a Mediterranean orzo pasta salad, an Heirloom tomato bruschetta “build it yourself bar” and much more.  

Sweets lovers will enjoy the dessert buffet served from 2:30pm-3:30pm which includes seasonal fruit tarts , raspberry macaroons, lemon macaroons, coconut macaroons, vanilla panna cotta with blueberry gelee, flourless chocolate pucks, white chocolate salted lemon fudge, and carrot cake.

The event costs $130 per person, all inclusive, and everyone will enjoy premiere seating overlooking the air and water exhibitions.
