June 29, 2011 Rockville, MD -  A new iPhone app called Blu Connect by entertainment media company Happening Solutions, LLC (abbreviated as HapSol) has hit the App Store and is already generating buzz. The reason Blu Connect is gaining momentum is its main feature, which allows the user of the app to get to know compatible complete strangers – who must also be users of the app - present around wherever s/he is.
Blu Connect uses Bluetooth to connect the user with others that match user’s profile and criteria settings in Invite Cards. After installing the app, the user first needs to fill their profile specifying information about themselves and then fill criteria settings, which will help in finding the kind of person the user is looking for.
After Blu Connect is installed, the user is to click on “My Profile” tab to fill details about them such as image, name, age, gender, occupation etc. HapSol recommends users to add at least their names and email address or phone/cell number so that the person who receives the user’s profile as invitation can get in touch.
In filling criteria settings, HapSol recommends that users fill at least fields of age and gender if they are looking for a date or fields of industry or occupation if they are looking to meet professionals.
Once all the field fillings is done, you can have Blu Connect search (read “inform you”) what different kinds of people or professionals are present around wherever you are so that you can have a chat with the ones you might like to get to know more for several possible reasons, or simply wait for invitations from other Blu Connect users in the area who might be interested in getting to know your kind of person or professional.
When you accept an invitation, that individual’s filled-in information will automatically be saved in your phone’s contact and Blu Connect list. Similarly, your filled-in information will automatically be saved in a person’s phone’s contact and Blu Connect list when s/he accepts your invitation.  
HapSol assures that in two steps and less than two minutes, users will be on their way to meeting people in a whole new way.
iPhone 4G users can keep the application running in the background continuously as they multi task, while iPhone 3G users will need to have the application running in order for it to search and connect.

The official description of Blu Connect reads, “Whether you are at a night club, a social event or a business meeting Blue Connect will find and send to your phone that individuals’ photo and matching information based on your criteria settings. If you are looking for a date or if you are looking to connect with someone in your field of work, Blu Connect will do just that. Once you accept the Invite the person’s profile will be automatically saved in your phone book and Blu Connect list. Spot the person in the crowd and walk up to them or call them later.”
Besides iPhone, HapSol has made Blu Connect available for Android and Blackberry phones as well.
