Worldcom Public Relations Group Announces Changes in Its Asia-Pacific Region’s Board

The Worldcom Public Relations Group, the world’s largest partnership of independently owned public relations counselling firms, announced today the new board of directors for its Asia-Pacific Region.
 
June 21, 2011 - PRLog -- The five-member Asia-Pacific board will be chaired by Cindy Payne of Asia-Pacific Connections, Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, who is also serving as membership co-chair.

Payne welcomed the new board members at the Worldcom AGM in Madrid – confirming that the Asia-Pacific Region continues to offer the greatest growth potential for the Worldcom Public Relations Group.

“We just recruited a new partner in India, Finese PR based in Delhi, and we are looking to bring in additional partners in China, New Zealand, Taiwan and the Philippines,” said Payne.  

In addition to naming Payne as the chair of the Asia-Pacific Region, other board appointments include immediate past-chair Doug Wright of Melbourne-based Wrights PR; Tom Van Blarcom (TQPR Thailand, Bangkok) as membership co-chair, Yuji Dave Otsuka (AZ.Worldcom, Tokyo) as treasurer, and Michelle Lam (A-World Consulting Ltd., Hong Kong) as board secretary.

Other regional roles for the term include: Gina Lee (Communications Plus, Seoul), deputy chair; Stephanie Paul (Phillips Group, Brisbane), 2011 AP regional meeting ; Angela Tan (TQPR Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur), professional development; Maetavarin Maneekulpan (TQPR Thailand, Bangkok), knowledge sharing; Bonnie Zheng (Shanghai Glocal Strategy Consulting), marketing; Masahiro Sakamoto (TOCS, Tokyo), technology practice; and Ahba Azad (Finese, Delhi), Worldcom Circuit magazine regional editor.
