June 15, 2011 - PRLog -- The HTC Sensation is said to be the smart phone of the future, but what makes this Android phone so great?

Back in the day, beepers and analog phones were the only wireless communication devices known to man. When people realized the convenience of being mobile, telecommunications companies took advantage of the demand for hand-held devices and introduced the cellphone. It didn't stop there. In an effort to get ahead of the competition, these companies would add more features to their phones, such as cameras, infrared, and bluetooth to make the cellphone as efficient as possible.

Along with the evolution of the cellphone, other technological advancements also took place. The CD player evolved into an iPod. The DVD player was reduced to a pocket sized device, where people can watch movies and TV series any time, anywhere. The family computer, which had to be attached to a TV for people to be able to play Super Mario Brothers, evolved into a Playstation and then into a portable PSP. But, it wasn't enough because people wanted to be as mobile as they could be.

Thankfully, the mobile gods heard their prayers and smart phones, such as the HTC Sensation, were introduced. Smart phones are like Personal Digital Assistants (PDA's), only better. They have better and faster internet connectivity, thanks to 3G technology, and a mobile operating system. Smart phones, like the HTC Sensation, have touch screens, instead of the usual LCD screens, and a virtual QWERTY  keypad. Most smart phones have practically the same functions, but not all of them are created equal.

The HTC Sensation is said to be a breakthrough in mobile technology. It was produced by HTC, a Taiwanese company that has pioneered a lot of innovations in the wireless communications industry. It was notably the first company to introduce a color palm-size PC in 1999 and a Microsoft Windows 5.0 operated phone in 2006.

The device was initially developed to compete against other Android phones, the most popular being the iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S. Compared to most smart phones with smaller screens, it has a 4.3 inch display and it boasts a 540 x 960 resolution, compared to the usual 400 x 800. This allows for a brighter and clearer display, which can be especially helpful when reviewing and editing office documents. It has an attractive aluminum wrap-around case, giving it a more professional look and feel. It also has an 8-megapixel camera, with a VGA lens at the front; perfect for those who would like to practice taking self-portraits. Likewise, it has the Android Gingerbread 2.3, which is the latest Android operating system developed by Google.

The HTC Sensation has HTC Watch, a software that allows users to view and edit videos. Likewise, it can connect to the internet at a speed of 14.4 Mbps; not bad for downloading the latest movies and TV series. Aside from that, it has DLNA connectivity to enable users to transfer streaming videos from their phone to a TV or PC.

In essence, the HTC Sensation has a variety of impressive applications that would put any other smart phone to shame. Because of this kind of technological development, people will no longer need a host of gadgets to function more efficiently. They can work, play, and do a lot more with this wonder phone called HTC Sensation.
