Company Aims To Decrease Carbon Footprint For All National Construction Sites

Because the mat is only 13’ x 6.5’, 1.77 inches thick, weighs only 825 pounds, and made out of 100% recycled products, the TuffTrak 2 decreases the carbon footprint on job sites by requiring less trucks to ship the mats to sites.  Each truck can carry up to 56 of the composite mats- 36 more per truck than traditional timber mats, and 14 more than other large composite mats.  Each truckload provides land coverage of 369 linear feet or 4,878 square feet, giving TuffTrak 2 more land coverage than any other composite mat.  

When hollow or “honey-combed” mats crack and break they can soak in chemicals as well as water and mud, making the mats heavier and more expensive to ship.  TuffTrak 2’s solid design ensures the mats remain lightweight as they are shipped inexpensively from site to site.
