June 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Rainforest Partnership presents the Films for the Forest Film Festival, an event that will showcase filmmakers of all levels from every continent and their passion for protecting the rainforests of the world. In true Austin fashion, the free event will feature local bands and a panel discussion with local filmmakers and artists.

The film festival will be a held outside as a community block party, right next to Austin's Town Lake trail. Doors open at 6pm.Last year's festival brought in over $10,000 in donations and entries from as far away as India.

The goal of the film festival is to promote Rainforest Partnership's innovative approach to protecting the rainforest which focuses on working with local communities to build sustainable, eco-friendly business alternatives to cutting down the forest. More on what makes Rainforest Partnership different. Your support can be large or small - a donation of as little as $100 gets you guaranteed VIP seating and complimentary food and drink, with sponsorship/donation options of all levels still available.
