Learn to Love the One You Married
New self-help book THE GOOD ENOUGH SPOUSE: Resolve or Dissolve Conflicted Marriages by Dr. William Ward outlines a proven strategy for unhappy spouses to mend and revitalize their unions or make the crucial decision to divorce.
Dr. William Ward, in THE GOOD ENOUGH SPOUSE: Resolve or Dissolve Conflicted Marriages (New Horizon Press, July 2011), provides four steps to repair, revive and restructure a marriage that has hit a rough patch or is rapidly spiraling toward breakup. He reveals that when a marriage fails, it is more than likely that both partners are responsible for not taking control of the relationship with insight, patience, commitment, humor, flexibility and hard work. Ward explains that a successful marriage involves two people who are willing and have the courage to actively explore ways to communicate and do things better.
Written in a personal and engaging tone, THE GOOD ENOUGH SPOUSE is filled with real case histories, proven strategies and practical tips that can bring love and excitement back into a declining, dissolving relationship. With over thirty years of experience counseling couples, Ward provides the key steps to making a marriage a successful one, by turning marital conflict into opportunities for growth. He reveals how not to repeat the mistakes of the past, keys for selecting a partner for healthy reasons and techniques for avoiding common mistakes.
All relationships evolve and change. THE GOOD ENOUGH SPOUSE teaches couples to face and welcome the challenges, to embrace change, to accept individual responsibility for mutual satisfaction of their marriage and to adopt a “will not fail” outlook so that partners can successfully navigate the journey to long-term marital bliss.
