Production Company Perfect Weekend Builds on Impressive SXSW Wins; Enters Advertising Market

June 2, 2011 - PRLog -- VENICE, CA -- On the heels of the dominant performance of two of their feature films at last month’s SXSW Film Festival, the six-year old production company Perfect Weekend -- founded by former ICM agents Justin Moore-Lewy and Charlie Mason -- has announced their arrival into the advertising/branded content production arena with a comprehensive global project for Reebok, helmed by director Peter Odiorne, that will break later this spring.

Additionally, the LA-based company Content Media has acquired the international rights to “96 Minutes,” which it plans to take to the Cannes International Film Festival next month.

''96 Minutes'' -- an edge-of-your-seat thriller about a day in the life of four young people caught up in a terrifying car jacking, produced by Perfect Weekend -- was honored with a Breakthrough Performance award for its co-star Evan Ross. Its other SXSW entry, ''Natural Selection,'' a drama about a Texas housewife’s trip to reunite her dying husband with his illegitimate son, executive produced by Moore-Lewy and Mason, fared even better. The film took home the festival’s highest honors -- Best Narrative Feature and the Audience Award for Narrative Feature, as well as awards for Best Editing, Best Score/Music and Breakthrough Performance for its stars Rachael Harris and Matt O’Leary.

''Both films reflect the artistic quality and creative integrity that is Perfect Weekend’s calling card and we plan to bring that same aesthetic to our work outside of feature films.''

First up for the company outside the feature film realm is a global advertising/branded content project for Reebok, created in-house by Reebok and Perfect Weekend, and directed by Peter Odiorne. The complex multimedia assignment that has taken Odiorne to a myriad of locations all over the world will launch later this spring.
